Throughout the weekend (Saturday 10am to 6pm, and Sunday 12noon to 6pm), Sea Bangor’s maritime-themed festival will be offering a host of activities at Bangor Town Centre and Sea Front, including all the usual Sea Bangor favourites ….. breath-taking Spitfire displays, tall ships, the Jetlev flyer, the fantastic science tent, Shanty Shack music, hilarious street theatre and food stalls. There will be something for everyone to enjoy at this much loved maritime festival.

And, on Saturday, Ards and North Down Borough Council is proud to host Northern Ireland Armed Forces Day. Activities celebrating and honouring the Forces will take place during the weekend; highlights include an Armed Forces Parade, Drumhead Service and Beating Retreat.  On Sunday, there’s a fantastic programme of music including Dana Masters Band, live on stage in the McKee Clock Arena.  More info at http://www.visitardsandnorthdown.com/events/honouring-the-armed-forcesThis event is supported by Tourism Northern Ireland.
