Some of you may have been impacted by the recent funding cuts to the voluntary sector which may result in redundancies within your organisations. If your employees are facing redundancy or if you have already made staff redundant we would ask you to share the important information in this email with those affected.
NICVA is hosting a DEL (Department for Employment and Learning) Redundancy Clinic (drop in style) on Monday 20 April from 9.30am – 4.30pm to assist those facing redundancy in our sector and full information on the clinic and registration is available on our website: http://www.nicva.org/event/del-redundancy-clinic
This will be an opportunity for those affected by redundancy/potential redundancy to obtain information and seek advice on:
- job vacancies
- CV and interview skills
- Money/debt advice
Remember that employees who are under notice of redundancy and have been continuously employed for at least two years should be given a reasonable amount of time off to look for another job or to arrange training and we would recommend this is extended to all those affected. To register for the event your employees should use this link: http://goo.gl/forms/9e8FrikqxR
Advice NI and Reed Specialist Recruitment Agency will also be there on the day and NICVA staff will be on hand on the day to offer advice on redundancy procedures to you as employers.
Thank you for sharing this information. Kind regards, Alex.
