Spiderman is on the lookout for adrenaline seekers to abseil Ireland’s tallest building – the Obel Tower on Sunday 10 May 2015 in aid of local charity FASA.

Standing at 88m (289ft) high with 28 floors the Obel is the tallest building in Ireland, as well as being one of the most impressive landmarks Belfast has ever seen! This is an iconic challenge and with limited places available early registration is essential, it also gives you the opportunity, if you dare, to take in the spectacular views of Belfast from the top of this unique building.

The money raised from the Obel Tower Abseil will go towards FASA’s new project: The Nightingale: a new out of hours Crisis Support Centre in Belfast. Over the past 5 years one of the key needs our service users, families and other agencies have identified is a Place of Safety for those  who are in crisis through the night and need an out of hours service.

The aim of the Nightingale will be to address the present gap in service provision and will deliver the service 9pm to 9am, with supporting day services at an accessible location initially piloting in Belfast. The facility will provide a resource for people at risk of suicide and self-harm with a place to go and receive help and support in their crucial hour of need. The tranquil venue will offer access to a quiet, comfortable space, hosting the person in distress to rest while also accommodating supportive family or friends.

To register is £40 per person and then we are asking for a minimum of £100 in sponsorship. FASA are on hand to help with your fundraising. Spiderman will be taking part on the day as well.

Anyone over the age of 16 years old is welcome to take part.  For more information and to sign up please contact Lorna Watson on 028 9590 0008 or email lorna@fasaonline.org or visit www.fasaonline.org
