The first All-Ireland Pollinator Plan guidelines document is now available and can be downloaded here: biodiversityireland.ie/pollinator-plan.
This key resource is a guidelines booklet that explains 24 things local communities can do to help pollinators. It is aimed primarily at Tidy Towns groups, Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful, college campuses, green communities, local wildlife groups, residents associations, etc. This is just the first in a series of guidelines we will produce to ensure that all sectors know how to implement the Pollinator Plan. The schedule for the release of subsequent guidelines is on the website.
The All-Ireland Pollinator Plan website will gradually be updated over the coming months to fully support implementation of the Plan.
There’s an events page with things that are happening this May and June www.biodiversityireland.ie/pollinator-plan If you are holding an event/activity/talk to help promote the Plan please contact Biodiversity Ireland and they will help publicise. Thanks go to the Heritage Council and Bord Bía for providing funding for the project officer post to assist with implementation of the Plan.
